Bandipora, April 15:
A dynamic inaugural ceremony of the Management Development Programme (MDP) under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative was organized today by the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) at its RSETI Centre in Bandipora. The event marks a vital milestone in strengthening the entrepreneurial landscape by offering structured training to local entrepreneurs and MSMEs.

Deputy Commissioner Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, who presided over the event, interacted with the participants and shared insightful thoughts on the growing significance of entrepreneurship in fostering self-reliance and economic growth. He urged the attendees to seize the opportunity and build innovative, sustainable ventures through the skills they acquire in such programs.

The MDP is a crucial aspect of the RAMP scheme, focusing on enhancing managerial capabilities, improving strategic decision-making, and promoting business sustainability among both new and existing entrepreneurs.

Delivering an in-depth overview, Syed Nazneen, District Nodal Officer (DNO) JKEDI, elaborated on the objectives of the RAMP programme—a World Bank-supported initiative by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The scheme aims to elevate the performance of MSMEs across the country by improving market access, supporting policy reforms, and providing targeted support in areas like digitalization, skill development, and financial inclusion.

The MDP under RAMP serves as a pivotal platform to build managerial acumen and entrepreneurial capabilities at the grassroots level, empowering small business owners with the knowledge and tools necessary to thrive in a competitive market.

This initiative highlights JKEDI’s ongoing dedication to entrepreneurship development and economic empowerment within the region, encouraging innovation, strategic thinking, and self-employment.

The event was graced by the presence of the Director RSETI, Chief Planning Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Maqbool Lone, officials from JKEDI, and a host of aspiring entrepreneurs.
