Srinagar | May 9, 2025:
Amid rising concerns and misinformation circulating on social media, Public Sector Banks (PSBs) have issued a joint statement confirming that all banking services including ATMs, Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs), Automated Deposit-cum-Withdrawal Machines (ADWMs), and digital banking platforms are fully operational and available for public use.

Banks have reassured customers that cash availability and digital infrastructure remain unaffected, and any news suggesting service disruptions is false and misleading.

In an official advisory, PSBs have urged citizens:

  • Not to trust or circulate unverified reports about ATM outages or cash shortages.

  • To reach out to their nearest branch or contact official toll-free helplines in case of any queries or issues.

Banking officials emphasized that robust contingency measures are in place to ensure continued service, even amid the heightened alert scenario across some regions.

📌 “Our systems are stable. Customers are requested to rely only on official channels for updates,” a senior bank spokesperson said.

This reassurance comes at a crucial time when public confidence in secure, uninterrupted access to funds is paramount. The banking sector has called for public cooperation in preventing panic and rumor-based disruptions.
