LG Manoj Sinha Visits Mishriwala Shelter, Interacts with Families Affected by Cross-Border Shelling; Reaffirms India’s Resolve through ‘Operation Sindoor’
JAMMU, May 12 – Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha visited the Sahib Bandgi Ashram in Mishriwala, Jammu, to meet with families displaced and affected by recent unprovoked cross-border shelling from Pakistan.
During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor checked on the well-being of those sheltered and assured them of full support from the Government of India and the Union Territory Administration. “The nation stands firmly with you,” he said, extending solidarity and compassion to the affected.
Referring to the recent terror strike in Pahalgam, LG Sinha emphasized that India never seeks war but the brutal attack by Pakistan was an act of war by a terror-exporting nation.
“India has always stood for peace. What happened in Pahalgam was a war waged by a terror state. With Operation Sindoor, we have given a fitting response. I am proud of our brave soldiers who taught Pakistan a lesson,” the Lieutenant Governor remarked.
He reiterated that India will never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and praised the Indian Armed Forces for their resolute and strategic response.
“Our armed forces have time and again displayed their capability to respond decisively. On the night of May 6th-7th, during Operation Sindoor, our forces carried out precise strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan, demonstrating strength and restraint,” he said.
LG Sinha also stressed the nation’s commitment to eliminating the entire terror ecosystem from Jammu and Kashmir.
“The world must know — if our people are threatened, the response will be such that seven generations in Pakistan will remember it,” he added firmly.
He thanked all individuals and organizations supporting the affected families and confirmed that new bunkers will be constructed based on fresh assessments to ensure civilian safety.
