SRINAGAR, May 15 (RNA):
In a concerted push to monitor urban development initiatives, Commissioner Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department (H&UDD), Ms. Mandeep Kaur (IAS), conducted a comprehensive on-ground tour of Srinagar today. She was accompanied by Commissioner SMC, Dr. Owais Ahmed (IAS), and Vice Chairman LCMA, Mr. Shahid Saleem, along with senior officials from SMC, LCMA, and allied departments.

The visit focused on reviewing the progress of various urban beautification, environmental, and infrastructure projects under implementation across the city.

  • Rakh Arth Housing Colony, Bemina

  • Parimpora

During the inspection, Ms. Kaur stressed the urgency of timely completion, improved inter-agency coordination, and community involvement to ensure visible improvements in the city’s infrastructure and air quality.

She chaired an on-site review meeting, directing officials to resolve bottlenecks and expedite project timelines. Emphasizing sustainable urban planning, Ms. Kaur reaffirmed the department’s commitment to a cleaner, resilient, and smarter Srinagar under ongoing Smart City and urban renewal programs.
