J&K Weather Outlook: Isolated Showers and Thunderstorms Expected Until June 23.
As per recent satellite imagery from INSAT-3DS and regional meteorological forecasts, Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness variable weather conditions through late June 2025. Between June 15 and 20, isolated to scattered locations across the region may experience short spells of rain or thunderstorms, often accompanied by gusty winds, primarily during the afternoon hours.
A more significant weather system is projected to impact the area from June 21 to 23, bringing mostly overcast skies and intermittent rain or thunderstorms to many parts of the Union Territory. These developments suggest increased moisture and atmospheric instability influenced by monsoonal activity and upper-air disturbances.
🔎 Note (Based on Satellite Image Dated 15 June 2025, 07:00 GMT):
”The thermal infrared satellite image from INSAT-3DS indicates widespread cloud cover over central and northern India, with significant cloud masses extending over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, central Maharashtra, and the Bay of Bengal. This visual evidence supports the forecast for continued unsettled weather, with potential for localized rain and thunderstorm activity in the region.”
”Residents are advised to remain cautious of sudden weather changes, particularly during travel or agricultural activities. The ongoing weather patterns underscore the importance of staying informed through official updates and local advisories.”
