AHMEDABAD, JUNE 12:
In a tragic incident, a London-bound Air India flight crashed just minutes after taking off from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was on board the ill-fated flight and has reportedly passed away.
Eyewitnesses reported a loud explosion followed by plumes of smoke near the outskirts of the city. Emergency response teams rushed to the scene, with fire and rescue operations underway.
