Srinagar, May 5:
In a major step towards strengthening government-public engagement, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo today launched the inaugural edition of ‘Info Connect’, a monthly magazine curated by the Directorate of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu & Kashmir.

The launch event took place in the presence of Commissioner Secretary, Information and GAD, M. Raju, and Director Information & PR, Nitish Rajora.

Aimed at enhancing transparency and public awareness, ‘Info Connect’ serves as a comprehensive chronicle of developmental milestones, policy initiatives, and key events across the Union Territory. The magazine is envisioned as a reliable source of authentic information, offering citizens a detailed insight into J&K’s socio-economic growth.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo hailed the initiative as a much-needed platform to foster timely and accurate information dissemination. He stressed that the magazine should spotlight not only government achievements but also emerging opportunities in sectors like tourism, trade, industry, infrastructure, and innovation.

Emphasizing the role of consistent communication, the Chief Secretary recommended that ‘Info Connect’ become a regular feature of DIPR’s outreach efforts, facilitating a vital link between administration and the public. He underscored its potential to inform citizens about government schemes, services, and projects directly impacting their lives.

Commissioner Secretary M. Raju lauded the DIPR team for their thoughtful execution, calling the magazine a powerful counter to misinformation and a transparent reflection of development in J&K. He encouraged continual enhancement of content quality and timely dissemination for greater impact.

Sharing the editorial vision, Director Nitish Rajora emphasized that ‘Info Connect’ is designed to integrate both traditional and modern media channels, aiming to keep citizens informed, engaged, and empowered. He reaffirmed DIPR’s commitment to deepening public trust through open and effective communication.
