Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conducted a significant public outreach programme at his Raabita office in Srinagar on June 13, where he personally met with individuals and delegations from across Jammu and Kashmir. This interactive session aimed at addressing citizens’ grievances firsthand and gathering feedback on developmental and administrative concerns.

Among those present was Director of IIT Jammu, Manoj S. Gaur, who sought government support for the institute’s Venture Fund designed to spur socio-economic growth. The Kashmiri Language Union advocated for institutional promotion of the regional language, while Revenue Officers requested reorganization of departmental structures and better service conditions.

Delegations from Industrial Estate Pampore raised developmental concerns, and the J&K OBC Resident Welfare Forum brought up welfare-related demands of the OBC community. Representatives from Bharat CSR Network discussed tourism promotion strategies, while Animal Rescue Kashmir highlighted the need for stronger policies on animal welfare.

Appointees under SRO-120 of 2018 and the Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme (2022) flagged pending compassionate appointments. Publishers from “Voice of Weekly Newspapers” shared operational challenges faced by small media outlets.

The Chief Minister listened patiently and assured that all genuine concerns would be addressed promptly. Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani and senior administrative officials were also present to take note of the discussions and provide follow-up action.
