
DC Bandipora Reviews Q4 Banking Performance in DCC/DLRC Meeting, Stresses Financial Inclusion and Scheme Saturation.

Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Saturday chaired the District Consultative Committee (DCC) and District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting for the fourth quarter of FY 2024–25, held at the Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
The meeting reviewed the performance of financial institutions, especially their progress under the Annual Credit Plan (ACP), government-sponsored schemes, and key financial inclusion initiatives.
Lead District Manager (LDM) Shameem Ahmad Haji presented a comprehensive report on credit disbursement, sector-wise achievements, and the implementation of flagship social security and entrepreneurship programmes.
As of March 31, 2025, Bandipora district achieved 66% of its ACP target (both Priority and Non-Priority Sectors combined), disbursing ₹1123.25 crore against a total target of ₹1691.29 crore:

Priority Sector: ₹590.99 crore (72% of target)

Non-Priority Sector: ₹532.25 crore (61% of target)
Among the priority sectors:

Agriculture achieved 96% of its target

MSME reached 60%

Micro Enterprises stood at an impressive 95%

Small and marginal farmers received ₹24.8 crore, exceeding the target with 141% achievement
DC Qadri directed banks and line departments to work in coordination to saturate key schemes such as PMJJBY, PMSBY, and PMJDY under the Jan Suraksha umbrella. He called for aggressive outreach campaigns and better issuance of Kisan Credit Cards (KCCs), particularly in the Animal Husbandry, Dairy, and Fisheries sectors.
“There is an urgent need to bridge gaps in financial outreach. Timely credit disbursal and focused implementation of government schemes will drive employment, entrepreneurship, and rural development,” the DC emphasized.
The DC also highlighted the importance of financial inclusion at the grassroots, urging all stakeholders to strengthen priority sector lending and boost support to agriculture, micro-enterprises, and self-employment programmes.
