
DC Poonch Conducts City Tour, Assesses Shelling-Hit Areas for Immediate Relief
Poonch, May 14 (RNA):
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, along with a team of senior officials, carried out a comprehensive city tour to inspect cross-border shelling-affected areas in Poonch and assess administrative responses to the damage and public safety concerns.
The DC visited Mohalla Shankar Nagar, one of the localities hit by recent shelling incidents. Interacting with residents, he took firsthand stock of damages to homes and infrastructure. He expressed concern over the destruction and directed revenue officials to conduct immediate assessment of losses and submit a consolidated report for timely relief and rehabilitation.

DC Kundal reiterated the administration’s commitment to safety, support, and continuity of services. “The district administration stands with the affected families. Relief, repair, and rehabilitation efforts are our top priority,” he stated.
The visit demonstrated the administration’s proactive and compassionate response, aiming to provide assurance and tangible support to those impacted by the border tension.
