
Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary Conducts Surprise Visit to Labour Office, Stresses Efficient Service Delivery.
SRINAGAR, JUNE 12: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary made an unannounced visit to the Labour Commissioner Office in Srinagar to evaluate the department’s functioning and assess the effectiveness of its services. During the inspection, he reviewed various welfare schemes being implemented by the Labour Department and interacted with employees to understand the challenges they face. The Dy CM called for improved cleanliness, adherence to punctuality, and quick resolution of public grievances. He also visited the Regional EPFO Office located within the same premises, where he engaged with citizens awaiting services and assured them of timely grievance redressal. Urging the officials to speed up file processing and deliver citizen-centric services efficiently, Choudhary emphasized that no individual should be made to wait unnecessarily. He stressed the importance of delivering services within set timelines and called for public awareness campaigns to inform citizens about available government schemes. Highlighting the achievements of the current administration led by Omar Abdullah, he reiterated the government’s commitment to reaching the last beneficiary and ensuring inclusive development.
