Srinagar, Feb 21 ( RNA): – Dismayed with repeated non compliance of detachment orders, director School Education Kashmir Friday issued a stern warning to all Chief Education Officers, calling for the immediate repatriation of all teaching and non-teaching staff who have been assigned administrative duties outside their original educational institutions.

This order, Vide Number SJ-DSEK of 2025, issued on Friday 2025 a copy of which lies with RNA is the latest in a series of previous reminders and orders on the matter, asking CEOs to send the Teaching Staff back to their original Places of posting. The Directorate had initially issued a directive in December 2021, under Government Order No. 1691-JK (EDU) of 2021, and again reiterated the instructions in July 2024. Despite these clear directives, the department found that several teachers, lecturers, and non-teaching staff continued to serve in various offices and departments unrelated to their educational assignments, without obtaining the necessary approvals from the Directorate.

The latest directive however, highlights concerns about the continued non-compliance from certain Chief Education Officers, Drawing and Disbursing Officers, and Heads of Institutions who, according to the Directorate, have failed to ensure that the deployed teaching staff returned to their original posts. The Directorate further expressed discontent, pointing out that this ongoing issue reflects a lack of seriousness in implementing official instructions.

The directive specifically calls for all teaching staff—comprising lecturers, masters, and teachers—who have been deployed for administrative work to immediately return to their substantive educational postings. These officials, who have been working in various administrative capacities either within or outside the School Education Department, are expected to rejoin their original educational institutions without delay.

The Director has made it clear that any officials who have continued their administrative assignments without formal orders from the Directorate or the Administrative Department will be considered in violation of their job profiles. Furthermore, the directive stresses that these individuals are to be “deemed to have been relieved” from their administrative posts, and must report to their original place of posting with immediate effect. According to RNA, the Directorate has warned that any Drawing and Disbursing Officer found to have drawn salary for staff who have violated the order will face strict action, including the potential recommendation for the Recovery of the Drawn Amount (RNA).
