AWANTIPORA, May 15 (RNA):
An encounter has erupted between security forces and militants in the Nader area of Tral, situated in south Kashmir’s Awantipora region. Police officials have confirmed that joint teams of Jammu and Kashmir Police and security forces are currently engaged in the operation.

According to official sources, the encounter began after specific intelligence inputs were received regarding the presence of militants in the area. The location has been cordoned off, and the operation is underway.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police tweeted:
