RNA KASHMIR | New Delhi | May 10:
In a significant escalation, the Pakistani military carried out multiple hostile actions along India’s western border and the Line of Control (LoC), targeting both civilian and military infrastructure using UCAVs, drones, loitering munitions, long-range weapons, and fighter aircraft. The attacks, which spanned over 26 locations from Srinagar to Naliya, were swiftly countered by Indian Armed Forces.

According to official sources, India’s military installations at Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj sustained limited damage. Additionally, Pakistani forces attempted to strike civilian infrastructure, including a school and a medicare center at air bases in Srinagar, Awantipora, and Udhampur, causing civilian casualties and property damage.

Pakistani Misinformation Campaign Exposed

Pakistan has simultaneously launched a misinformation campaign, falsely claiming destruction of critical Indian assets such as the S-400 system at Adampur, airfields at Sirsa and Suratgarh, and other military sites. Indian officials categorically rejected these claims, calling them part of a “tissue of lies” designed to mislead the public and create unrest.

Visual evidence from air bases in Sirsa and Suratgarh, shown during the press briefing, clearly confirmed that no such damage occurred, and all operations remain fully functional.

India’s Measured and Precise Response

In retaliation, Indian Armed Forces executed precision strikes on confirmed Pakistani military targets, including:

  • Radar sites in Pasrur and Sialkot aviation base

  • Command and control centers at Chaklala, Rafiqui, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Murid, and Chunian

  • Weapon storage facilities and technical infrastructure

The response, carried out using air-launched precision munitions, was carefully calibrated to avoid civilian casualties, in contrast to Pakistan’s reckless targeting of non-combatants.

Escalation Along the LoC

Simultaneously, Pakistan increased shelling and drone intrusions in sectors of Kupwara, Baramulla, Rajouri, Poonch, and Akhnoor, leading to civilian deaths, including the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Dr. Raj Kumar Thappa. The Indian Army retaliated effectively, inflicting significant damage to Pakistani positions and assets.

Reports also suggest Pakistan is mobilizing troops near forward areas, indicating intentions for further escalation. In response, India remains in a high state of operational readiness while continuing to advocate for non-escalation, provided Pakistan reciprocates.

Statement by Foreign Secretary Shri Vikram Misri

Speaking at the joint press briefing, Shri Vikram Misri emphasized:

“Pakistan continues its deplorable campaign of civilian targeting and disinformation. The Indian public must not be misled by these state-sponsored fabrications. India remains committed to responsible and restrained conduct, but we will not hesitate to defend our citizens and sovereignty.”
