
J&K SED Establishes Student Helpdesks in Srinagar and Jammu for Safety and Assistance

SRINAGAR, MAY 10:
In a proactive move aimed at safeguarding the interests of students amid the current circumstances, the School Education Department (SED), Government of Jammu and Kashmir, has announced the establishment of dedicated helpdesksin both Srinagar and Jammu divisions.
The initiative, announced by Minister of Education, Sakeena Itoo, on her official handle on ‘X’, is intended to facilitate students from J&K studying outside the Union Territory, as well as students from other states studying within J&K, by providing timely assistance with transportation, lodging, and other logistics.
“Students from J&K studying outside who need to return home are advised to contact the designated officials in the School Education and Transport Departments of Jammu Division. Likewise, students from outside the UT presently studying in J&K may approach the Kashmir Division officials for support,” she stated.
She further assured the student community that the government remains committed to their safety and well-being, urging them to make use of the helpline services.
