
LG Sinha Visits Uri Border Villages, Assures Full Support to Families Affected by Pakistan Shelling
SRINAGAR, MAY 09, 2025 (RNA KASHMIR):
Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today visited the forward villages of Lagama and Gingal in Uri to assess the damage caused by unprovoked shelling from across the border. The shelling resulted in substantial damage to civilian property and residential structures.
During his visit, the LG interacted with local residents and instructed the district administration to immediately extend relief and rehabilitation support to the affected families. He emphasized the need to prioritize their safety and securityin light of the continuing border tensions.
Later, at a safe shelter centre in Baramulla, the Lieutenant Governor met with displaced families and reaffirmed the central government’s commitment to their protection. “Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is actively ensuring all possible measures are being taken to safeguard every resident of Uri,” LG Sinha assured.
The LG also visited GMC Baramulla, where he met the injured civilians from Uri. He prayed for their swift recovery and directed hospital authorities to offer the best medical care and treatment to the injured.
“The nation stands united with the affected families,” said LG Sinha. “We will respond to their suffering by defeating the enemy and securing our people with unwavering resolve.”
