Minister Javed Rana Engages with Delegations, Reviews Key Public Welfare Issues.
SRINAGAR | JUNE 11:
In a step towards strengthening grassroots engagement, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, Shri Javed Ahmed Rana, met with several public delegations at Civil Secretariat Srinagar today to review concerns and discuss solutions related to public service delivery.
A delegation led by Legislator Javaid Beigh from Baramulla raised urgent concerns about the status and functioning of two key water infrastructure projects — the Sheeri Narawah Irrigation Scheme and the Nowpora Water Supply Scheme, both developed under the AMRUT initiative.
Responding promptly, the Minister assured the delegation that the matter would be addressed without delay. He directed the Jal Shakti Department to carry out immediate assessments and take corrective measures wherever necessary.
In addition, delegations from Tral and Shopian briefed the Minister on various civic and infrastructure-related challenges affecting local communities. Minister Rana gave a patient hearing and assured the public representatives that these issues would be escalated to the concerned departments and redressed in a time-bound manner.
The Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to responsive governance and improving essential services across urban and rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
