
Omar Abdullah Visits Border Shelter Camps, Assures Full Support to Displaced Families

Former Chief Minister and J&K National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah today visited shelter campshousing residents displaced by cross-border shelling. The visit aimed to assess on-ground conditions, interact with affected families, and review relief measures being provided by the administration.
During the visit, Omar Abdullah spoke directly with families, listened to their concerns, and assured them of unwavering support. “We stand firmly with our people in these difficult times. Their safety and dignity are our top priority,” he said.
He directed local officials to urgently provide all necessary facilities, including food, clean water, medical care, and secure shelter. Emphasizing a compassionate and coordinated response, Abdullah called for swift action to restore normalcy in the affected villages.
The J&K National Conference reiterated its commitment to standing beside border communities and ensuring long-term policy solutions for those living in sensitive areas.
