
Over 30 Kgs of Narcotics Seized in Major Police Operation in Anantnag, 3 Arrested
Anantnag, April 6 – In a major breakthrough in the war against drugs, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Anantnag carried out a series of coordinated night raids in village Wantrag under Police Station Mattan, leading to the seizure of over 30 kilograms of Charas Powder and the arrest of three individuals.
Acting on reliable inputs, police raided three separate residential houses.

The first raid at the house of Jehangir Ahmad Khan, son of Mohd Abdulla Khan, resulted in the recovery of 23.33 kgs of Charas Powder.

In the second operation, officers seized 3.67 kgs from the residence of Reyaz Ahmad Khan, son of Sher Afzal Khan.

During the third raid, 3.9 kgs were recovered from the house of Nowshad Pathan, son of Kastiya Pathan.
The total seizure amounted to 30.9 kilograms of Charas Powder. All three accused have been taken into custody, and cases under relevant sections of law have been registered. Investigations are ongoing, with further arrests and recoveries anticipated.
These operations highlight the J&K Police’s intensified efforts to root out drug trafficking from the region. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to a drug-free Kashmir and urged the public to report any information related to drug peddling or suspicious activities.
