  • The bill, set to be introduced in the upcoming budget session of the J&K Assembly, proposes prohibition on the advertisement, sale, purchase, consumption, and manufacture of alcoholic beverages in the Union Territory.

Power Shutdown in Srinagar on May 13 and 14 from 5 AM to 9 AM

Srinagar, May 09, 2025:
According to the Chief Engineer, JKPTCL, a scheduled power shutdown will be carried out on May 13 and 14, 2025, from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM to facilitate dismantling and de-stringing of conductors between Tower Locations 22 to 26 of the 132 KV Bemina–Rawalpora Transmission Line.

This work, necessary to increase ground clearance due to the ongoing flyover construction at Sanat Nagar Chowk, will affect several 33 KV Silk Factory and 33 KV Rawalpora transmission lines.

Areas Affected:

  • Allochibagh

  • Rambagh

  • Solina

  • Tulsibagh

  • Cargo

  • Rawalpora

  • Sanat Nagar

  • Industrial Estate Sanat Nagar

  • Hyderpora

  • Majeed Bagh

Residents in these areas are advised to make necessary arrangements in advance and bear with the inconvenience caused due to essential maintenance work.
