SRINAGAR, MAY 16: Continuing the spirit of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s Public Outreach initiative “Raabita”, Minister for Health, Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, engaged with a large number of public delegations and individuals at the Civil Secretariat in Srinagar today.

Throughout the interaction, the Minister gave a patient and empathetic hearing to various public concerns, developmental issues, and service-related grievances raised by the visiting delegations.

These groups, representing different districts and constituencies across Jammu and Kashmir, brought forward issues related to road infrastructure, healthcare delivery, potable water availability, and effective implementation of social welfare schemes. They sought the Minister’s intervention for timely resolution of these matters.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Sakeena Itoo emphasized that the Raabita programme exemplifies the government’s continued dedication to public welfare and accountable governance. She underlined the importance of such outreach activities in narrowing the gap between the administration and the citizens. “These public outreach programmes offer people a vital opportunity to directly communicate their genuine concerns to the government,” she said.

She reaffirmed the government’s resolve to respond proactively to public needs and reiterated that voices from the ground are not only being acknowledged but acted upon with seriousness and urgency.

Sakeena Itoo also assured the attendees that all genuine issues raised during the interactions will be swiftly taken up for redressal through appropriate channels.

In the course of the day, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pampore and retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi also met with the Minister. He brought to her attention several pressing issues affecting the Pampore constituency and requested focused attention from the concerned departments.
