
Rajnath Singh Meets Dubai Crown Prince to Strengthen India-UAE Defence Ties

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh held a high-level meeting with Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Defence, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction over current defence collaborations, including institutional exchanges, joint military exercises, and training programs. They underlined the importance of scaling up defence cooperation to match the progress seen in trade, innovation, and technology under the shared vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Rajnath Singh emphasized the importance of deepening defence industry ties, stating that both nations are ready to explore strategic collaborations and innovation-focused projects in the defence domain.
Commitment to Regional Peace
Following the meeting, Rajnath Singh posted on X, reaffirming that the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership is a priority for India.
“We are eager to work closely in defence cooperation, co-production, innovation, and technology. India and UAE are united in their pursuit of peace and prosperity in the region,” he wrote.
India and the UAE share strong cultural and economic bonds, with foundational defence cooperation formalized through an MoU in 2003, followed by a Defence Industry Cooperation MoU in 2017.
