Srinagar, May 7 – In view of the prevailing security situation, the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir has announced that all educational institutions in Baramulla, Kupwara, Gurez, and areas surrounding Awantipora and Srinagar Airport will remain closed on Wednesday, May 8, 2025.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students, staff, and faculty members amid heightened alert across various parts of Kashmir.

Authorities have urged citizens to remain calm and cooperate with official instructions. Further updates will be shared by the administration based on the evolving ground situation.
