Schools to Reopen in Baramulla From May 14, Uri Subdivision to Remain Closed: CEO

Baramulla, May 13 (RNA):
The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Baramulla has announced that all government and private schools in District Baramulla will reopen from Wednesday, May 14, with the exception of educational institutions in the Uri Subdivision, which will remain closed until further notice.

According to the official communique, the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure in view of the prevailing situation in border areas.

“All schools in Zone Uri, Jhulla, Chandanwari, and Boniyar under Subdivision Uri shall remain closed,” the statement read.
“All other schools in the district will function normally from tomorrow,” the CEO added.

The administration stated that the move is aimed at ensuring the safety of students and staff in the vulnerable areas, following recent developments along the Line of Control (LoC).

Authorities will continue to monitor the situation closely and issue further updates as necessary.
