Jammu | April 8, 2025:
In a strong show of unity and concern, the senior leadership of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has called upon the party high command to take immediate and strict action against indiscipline displayed by certain individuals within the party in recent days.

In a joint statement released today, top Congress leaders expressed deep anguish over what they termed as gross indiscipline by a few party activists, including unruly behavior at the AICC office in New Delhi in full view of the media, as well as inflammatory remarks made by some disgruntled elements in the media and on social platforms.

“These irresponsible acts not only tarnish the image of the Congress leadership but also undermine the party’s strength in Jammu and Kashmir—a region of immense political and national sensitivity,” the statement said.

The leaders warned that tolerating such elements could encourage further chaos within party ranks and damage the momentum Congress has been building in the Union Territory to act as a secular and democratic force.

“Any individual placing personal agendas above party discipline and decency is harming the collective interest. Strict action must be taken to preserve the party’s dignity and discipline,” the signatories emphasized.

They appealed to the AICC leadership to “nip the evil in the bud” to ensure smooth functioning and unity within the party at a time when collective effort is crucial for countering regional and national challenges.
