VHP Calls for Public Unity and Participation in Anti-Terrorism Mock Drills Across J&K
Jammu, May 6:
In response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Rajesh Gupta, President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) J&K-Ladakh, has strongly condemned the act and urged citizens to remain alert and united in the fight against terrorism. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to actively take part in the nationwide mock drills initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), emphasizing that these drills are critical for assessing the preparedness of security forces and ensuring public safety.
“The brutal attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent Hindu pilgrims is a cowardly attempt to shake India’s unity and integrity, but such efforts will never succeed,” Gupta stated.
Highlighting the purpose of the mock drills, he urged citizens not to panic but to recognize the drills as a vital step toward national security. He also called upon the public to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activity, and support the nation’s forces.
“Our strength lies in unity,” Gupta said. “We must send a strong message that no force in the world can weaken a united India. Let us stand firm with our armed forces, our government, and every citizen committed to protecting Bharat Mata.”
He concluded by calling this challenging period a time for renewed patriotism and national solidarity, saying, “Together, we can defeat the evil intentions of those who wish to divide us.”
